Following the recent Annual Dialogue 2022 conducted by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) on 6 October 2022, SSM provided the presentation slides and Summary of Issues and Feedback for the public.
Issues that have been addressed include:
Compounds are imposed even when documents are submitted during the grace period, as some of the companies still receive a compound even if they have submitted their annual return or financial statements.
Feedback:
When upgrading the current system, SSM does not deny the system's instability, which was the root cause of these problems. In the jargon of the information technology industry, it is known as a "system glitch."
This has been the case for a specific period and has been identified and taken by SSM to ensure that it no longer happens in the future.

SSM will look at this issue case-to-case basis to ensure genuine cases and appropriate corrective action is taken.
At the same time, the system improvements will be continued by SSM.
