SSM Annual Dialogue 2022: MyCoID System

Following the recent Annual Dialogue 2022 conducted by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) on 6 October 2022, SSM provided the presentation slides and Summary of Issues and Feedback for the public.

Issues that have been addressed include:

(a) System Improvement Proposal

  • Recommendations for improving the efficiency of the MYCOID system and eliminating the need to wait an excessive amount of time to finish a single transaction are presented below.

  • All documentation, including a change of business address and type of business (for example, through PD 2/2017), and some documents that still need to be submitted over the counter, can be submitted using the MyCoID system online.

(b) Access to MyCoID Information

  • The company secretary cannot access the old information in the MyCoID system.

  • The company secretary suggested that the information submitted is retained in MyCoID to be accessible by the company secretary at any time.

Feedback:

(a) System Improvement Proposal

  • SSM is still in the process of constructing a new core system. Implementing this new core system will fix several technical concerns currently experienced under the MyCoID system that is now in place.

  • The new core system now being developed will consider all factors, including the requirements of processes, policies, technologies, and stakeholders.

  • All of the bettor's ideas and opinions, gathered either through the platform of the SSM Annual Dialogue or any other platform, have been and will continue to be taken into consideration during the process of developing this core system.

(b) Access to MyCoID Information

  • On March 28, 2019, SSM announced the "Implementation of the MyCoID2016 User Data Archive" through a pop-up screen.

  • To keep the MyCoID system from getting too crowded and ensure everyone can use it quickly, it is the responsibility of everyone who uses the MyCoID2016 system to save data and transaction records in their own storage for future use.
