Following the recent Annual Dialogue 2022 conducted by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) on 6 October 2022, SSM provided the presentation slides and Summary of Issues and Feedback for the public.
Issues that have been addressed include:
A) E-Compound
The e-Compound database does not include any information regarding the value compound.
Several suggestions for advancement:
The information included in the e-Compound is presented in full.
Offer a medium through which users can gain access, print off compound notices, make payments, and communicate with relevant officials.
Compound notices are emailed to the company secretary.
Feedback:
SSM is working to improve the systems that are already in place, notably those that are related to compound management.
The company secretary provided several suggestions, which have been taken under consideration and given attention to be viewed as a potential step toward improvement.
For the time being, the e-Compound system does not allow the company, director, or company secretary prints the compound on their own.
Access to the e-Compound is not limited, and any interested person can scrutinise it. Because of this, just the compound number will be shown to prevent any irresponsible party from misusing the information included in the document.
Suppose a copy of the compound notice is required urgently. In that case, the company, the director, or the company secretary may go to any SSM branch to obtain a copy of the notice being referred to.
